Okroshka is a traditional dish of national Russian cuisine, cold soup. Meat for okroshka is used boiled or fried, of different varieties. In the old Russian okroshka, they preferred to combine meat, turkeys, poultry and game. The choice of different types of meat is due to the fact that the remains of meat from the preparation of various dishes were originally used in okroshka. It is now perfectly acceptable to use boiled beef with poultry.
